Wet News

There is one very simple problem I have with “indie game” lovers it is the fact that they don’t like games. They like talking about, or more precisely writing about games, more than they want to play them or even make them.

Jason Rohrer needs to just shut the fuck up and concentrate on his alleged media of choice. (and so do I, writing this is wasting my time…)

Also sucking up to old media is a fail not a win.

Oh my god the new york times is mentioning indie games.

That’s enough to make a games journalist orgasm all over the soggy corpse of newspapers.

The future is in multiplayer games, social interaction, this is a big problem for art fags as community is chaos. It’s not something one places on a coffee table so your guests know how intellectual wot you is. It is, to the casual observer, a big steaming turd that never ever behaves itself.

FPS win due to this multiplayer gameplay. For instance CS is still one of the major FPS games and has roots and gameplay that are far more indie than most of the shit on display at the IGF. The games name dropped as FPS killers certainly cant supply that longevity of gameplay. Many FPS games contain game, many indie games do not.

If you want to help game developers then promote games as games, not games as art projects.

“But does it make you cry?”

“You want to cry?”

“I’ll make you cry bitch.”

The IGF just wants to be Sundance, fuck Sundance, it jumped the shark a long long time ago.
