Its hard to say since whomever wrote that game has probably never played missile command. Sure it technically copys the mechanics but it is an empty soulless copy, possibly even chinese in origin.

Why do I have a problem with the international game fagotry?

Soon, the igf will be older than many of the people entering it. At that point it doesn’t really matter if nouvo is inovation or retarded or a slap on the back to friends. It will quite simple be seen as the standard to achieve by entrants.

Being a game developer, who actually likes games, is a big mistake :)
This is pretty much spot on and is how the future will be :) Personally I think the only hope is to create games that do not scale to millions but are instead more of a real social experience for a few thousand. That way you stand a chance.
